ABOUT ME

Born on June 3rd, 1985, by zodiac I am a Gemini. My parents named me “Kinshuk” which is the Sanskrit word for the flower: “Fire of the Forest”. I have creative inclinations, though I am excruciatingly naive in all my endeavors.I tend to exaggerate my creative abilities (if one exists), especially the one’s closest to poetic skills. It is my ambition to start my own game development studio and help place India on the global gaming industry map (is it already there?). I am profoundly interested in History (not my own, though) and I believe in the ‘Ironies of Contradictions‘ (ha! gotcha!).Currently, I am pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Global Business Operations (GBO) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. In this section of my portal, I’ll present a short sketch of myself - a brief overview. Why you need that is a question best left for you to answer. Thank you for your time.

WHO AM I

High Time Roller: Even if I inwardly like to think I have a healthy approach to life, I still have my vices that keep me going throughout the day. It is all part of the routine - I am a creature of habit. My choice of drink reflects my love of the stability and comfort of routine. As for the home, I have a very cool and contemporary taste. It’s not just about function - my environment has to be as stylish as I am.
Dreamer: I am romantic in my outlook and love a good fairytale. I am a bit of a dreamer, I’ve got a great imagination. When it comes to art, I appreciate natural beauty. I take time to soak up the nature favoring the coastline and countryside to the city galleries. As for music, it’s the soundtrack to my world. I’ve got to grips with downloading and my mp3 is always at hand. It gives me focus and concentration - I might find it hard to switch off. My choice of treat shows my love being a little bit naughty. Being good all the time is a bore. I’ve got a good sense of fun and maybe an infectious giggle.
Love Bug: For me love is about long-term commitment, it means devotion and tenderness. When I think of freedom, I think of love. The comfort of being loved makes me feel free with my thoughts and words - I am a love bug.
Conqueror: I love physical activity - I’ve got a real spirit for adventure. Keeping a clear head and healthy body makes me ready for whatever life throws at me. For kicks I like to switch off and immerse myself in another world. I am thoughtful and imaginative - I like to look at life from a different perspective. Cultured and creative. When it comes to holidays, there’s no stopping me once I’ve got the taste for adventure. It’s a chance to explore activities that I don’t have the time for in day-to-day life. What grosses me out? I favor the natural look and can’t stand a pumped and plumped, plastic appearance.

PRELUDE TO EXODUS

I was, but, once a little boy,
I used to jump with silly joy.
Now that I am young, I’m coy,
I still sing of deeds and joy.

With dreamy eyes some dreams I cherished,
In dreamy worlds those dreams I nourished.
In sleepy towns, awakened gallows,
I hang my mind, O! Dreary Hallows!

With the rising sun, the genius’s bloom,
the morning hour, and night’s doom.
In the month of June, the discovery’s year
the angel riseth, he hath no fear.

Plodded around the earthly galore,
took new flights with angelic valor.
Raised some noise, helluva din;
In twinkling eyes, all he hath been…”

EARLY YEARS

I was born on June 3rd, 1985 in the capital of the Bihar State - Patna. My parents are Biharis and so am I. The first two years of my life: I spent them at a small town in Bihar called Chakradharpur. Obviously, nobody expects me to remember stuff from back then, but I am told, I was a cute, chubby boy.

After the second year, my father took up a new job in Pune, Maharashtra and we moved to the new city. I lived there until early 1996, which made my stay in the city 8 years long.
I don’t remember much of the city and yet I remember a lot. I used to live, first, in a government apartment complex at Lula Nagar and then moved on to a similar government complex at Hidayatullah Road. This is where my schooling began.

I received a few months of Nursery education at the SM Joshi High School, where my elder brother used to study and my mum was a part-time, hobbyist teacher. But, perhaps I was way too brilliant for my age. One recollection that I have of this time period is that of a ‘Sleeping Class’, where the students were supposed to sleep for a period of two hours. No doubt, this was a class I always hated: I had to pretend I was asleep for two hours.

My education, proper, started at MCE Society English Medium School, Hidayatullah Road in the year 1995. A few months later, I was diagnosed as an Astigmatic person and I made my first friend that is still with me - Spectacles. However, this friend has undergone a number of updates and upgrades and infinite minor releases (the Hobbyist IT Professional(??) refuses to lay low, you see). I was quite a meritorious student. This school was limited only to Primary education, which in the Maharashtra State Education policy meant grade IV.

Post-MCE, I moved on to Sardar Dastur Hoshang Boys High School, Lt Tarapore Road, Pune. As I remember, my father asked me what school I wanted to study in, and I suggested Dastur school since a friend used to study there and I had heard great reviews of the school as a prestigious institution and one of the best schools in the city. No doubt the school lived to my expectations. Two years - Grades V and VI; my father was asked to join the UPSC at New Delhi on Deputation and the family moved together to Delhi in the April of 1996.

I still remember I caught the Jhelum Express at 17:35 IST on 16th April 1996 and reached Delhi on the 18th of April 1996 10:05 IST. This migration was to have a major consequence on me.
