Hello
For some time now, I had been running a fun & humor blog called Abu Sez.
From Today, Abu Sez will be an independent entity. While, I will continue with publishing the funny emails that we all recieve, soon Abu Sez will move in to original comic content, including cartoons and satires. I have plans for opening up Abu Sez for commercial authors as well (but not in near future).
Please visit http://abusez.in, go through the content and subscribe to the feed.
Also note that now there is a new twitter account to handle everything Abu Sez. Connect to me at @abusez then.
I am actively working on writing focussed blogs. The segregation of Abu Sez from KinshukSunil.com is step one. Soon, I will discontinue the reviews category from the blog and only focus on personal endeavours and insights at it aint no dessert, if therez no caek.

Been working on a musical album for about a month now – Indipop + Sufi (possibly). Its been a lot of hush hush as yet and is still going to be. Playing a marketing role, looking at how Social Media can be best utilised in the scenario, will soon talk about what and how we are doing stuff.
I am also looking at how best to go out with an indie album – yep, not planning to release the album through some big publishing house. The artist’s first album came out from the T Series stables but the experience was not that too rosy. Heck! Even the copyrights for the songs are with T Series, the artist can’t work with them on Last.FM or anywhere else.
Also, a first for me – I am writing the lyrics for some (at least) of the songs. Not that I can boast of my lyrical prowess, but if the artist finds it good enuogh to sing, I guess it is good enough to listen to. I’ll soon be sharing a couple of songs I have already written for the album – your feedback will be much appreciated.
Just recorded one scratch track for the album one fine day. This song will not see the light at the end of the tunnel though. Titled “Itna Bura” the song is very bad :D Just the end result of a weird rickshaw ride with Yadu Rajiv. And yes, the voice is mine. Please don’t flame me ;)
While, we are still talking music I will also like to draw your attention to some instrumentals made by me. Not so great, but an attempt by me – some are really nice and I like them. Find them on my Last.FM Artist Page. They all are available for free download as well. Feedbacks on them (comments and shouts on last.fm) are also welcome. I am also working on my second instrumental album “Into the Night“, the title track is already on Last.fm. Some other tracks have been delayed due to my system’s bad PSU issues. The first album was “In my dreams“. It is a compilation of extremely short instrumentals really. Nothing very inspiring.

In this series of posts I’ll share my experiences with setting up my blog using Wordpress and things to keep in mind while blogging with Wordpress.
Step 1: Installing Wordpress
There are two ways to install Wordpress: either you download it from Wordpress.org and manually upload it on your domain or you use any software installer provided by your domain manager such as Fantastico or a similar solution.
Step 2: Configuring Wordpress
This is the most time consuming process, since everythign you do after installing wordpress is included here. People generally prefer to do some configurations first, but I prefer to finsih all uploading work first and configurations later.
Step 2.1: Installing Plugins
Plugins add extra features to your basic wordpress blog and render it into a powerful publishing tool. Wordpress.org Plugins Directory has an huge list of very useful wordpress plugins.
I am using the following Plugins:
- Ajax Comment Posting: Posts comments and validates the comment form using Ajax By regua.
- Akismet: Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. By Matt Mullenweg.
- All in One SEO Pack: Out-of-the-box SEO for your Wordpress blog. By uberdose.
- AutoMeta: Automatically generate and include HTML Meta Tags and Technorati Tags based on the full text of your post. By Rich Boakes.
- Awsom News Announcement: Allows you to post news announcements in the area above your posts on the index page (or anywhere else you want). By Harknell.
- Broken Link Checker: Checks your posts for broken links and missing images and notifies you on the dashboard if any are found. By Janis Elsts.
- Cite This: Citations provider for WordPress By Yu-Jie Lin.
- FeedBurner FeedSmith: Originally authored by Steve Smith, this plugin detects all ways to access your original WordPress feeds and redirects them to your FeedBurner feed so you can track every possible subscriber. By FeedBurner.
- In Series: Gives authors an easy way to connect posts together as a series. By Travis Snoozy.
- Redirection: A redirection manager By John Godley.
- StatPress: Real time stats for your blog By Daniele Lippi.
- WP-DownloadManager: Adds a simple download manager to your WordPress blog. By Lester ‘GaMerZ’ Chan.

- WP-Print: Displays a printable version of your WordPress blog’s post/page. By Lester ‘GaMerZ’ Chan.
- WP-ServerInfo: Display your host’s server PHP and MYSQL information (integrated into WordPress Admin Style) on your WordPress dashboard. By Lester ‘GaMerZ’ Chan.
- WP-Smartdate: WP-Smartdate automagically resolves relative dates (e.g. “tomorrow,” “this coming Monday”) and adds the date reference in a machine-readable tag. By mitcho (Michael Yoshitaka Erlewine).
- WP Post Columns: Allows you to easily create columns within your posts for a magazine / newspaper style layout. By Sam Burdge.
- WP YouTube: WP YouTube allows you to control all the YouTube videos at the same time. By Jens Törnell.
- WP_HeadNFoot: WP_HeadNFoot is a free WordPress plug-in that help you to simply and easily insert code into the header and footer of a page, useful for things such as Google Analytics. We download these from the Wordpress.org Plugins Directory and upload them in the /wp-content/plugins folder in your Wordpress install. Next up, we will be configuring these plugins to suit our use.

I have been making an attempt to trun people around me into bloggers. Have had a few successes, many failures. Given the state of affairs (read: my not bein a proper blogger, myself) I haven’t had much to say and lead people about.
One of the questions’ I have always been asked is: “What is a Blog?” and I have defined it thus:
- It is a online diary, where you share your world, with the whole world.
- It is an unrestricted publishing media through which you can take about your opinions.
- It is a collective of knowledge and information on a specific subject, which you develop and continuously groom.
And the next question generally turns out to be: “What’s the deal?” And well, it gets more torturous. Lately, I have decided to have a better understanding of the subject myself, before trying to have converts.
And, weird though it may sound many people at my end of the globe don’t know much about blogging.
What made me rant about blogging? Copyblogger’s post: What is a Blog?

I’ve spent the day publishing a Book at Lulu.com. Its titled We All Must Fall and is a collection of about 22 English Poems by me. So these poems will be altered here at the blog so that purchasers (if any) do get fair value for their money.
I had the option of selecting an ISBN at Lulu, but it did not provide me one. CreateSpace.com, a service by Amazon.com, also provides your book a unique ISBN… but you have to buy a proof of your own book to be able to publish it. Lulu doesn’t force you to buy your own proof… but then it ain’t amazon either.
Anyhow… here is the link to my book… http://www.lulu.com/content/1445151
I am not asking you to buy it, just have a look around ;)
